The Alexandra Community Advice Network is a voluntary organisation. We operate from an office in Community House in Alexandra and have been providing free, friendly confidential information and support in Alexandra and surrounding districts for over twenty years.

Community Advice has a large range of brochures and pamphlets on Health Support, Legal, Local Activities and other issues and these are free on request.
Community Advice can provide a wide range of hard copy forms for issues such as passport applications, disabled parking permits etc. and again these are available at no cost.
Community Advice operates and maintains an extensive database of clubs, organisations, social and health support services and small businesses in the Alexandra area. If you’d like to be included in our database, then please; CLICK HERE.
Our database entries are updated annually. Summarised copies of the complete database or details of specific request are made available to members of the public on request.
Community Advice operates a flexible roster of approximately 25 volunteers who man the office in Community House from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Volunteers typically work once or twice a week from either 9am to 12am or 12 am to 3pm working in pairs. If you’d like to apply for a volunteer role with us, then please; CLICK HERE.
Community Advice also manages the roster for Meals On Wheels in the Alexandra area. Meals On Wheels volunteers typically deliver meals once every 3 or 4 weeks, picking up the meals which are provided by Dunstan Hospital at Community House. Community Advice coordinates a volunteer driver service where volunteer drivers pick up members of the community who do not have access to a vehicle or public transport and drive them to medical appointments, library, banks etc. in Alexandra and Clyde in return for a small donation.
